Movie Plot
The movie revolves around Devara, a fearless pirate who leads a group of smugglers in the Red Sea. His son, Vara, is the opposite of his father, being fearful and quiet. Devara’s group smuggles goods for Muruga, a merchant, but Devara begins to question the morality of their actions after witnessing the harm caused to innocent people.
When Devara decides to stop their smuggling operations, the other chieftains, including Bhaira, plot to kill him. However, Devara successfully thwarts their attempts and disappears, leaving behind a message warning those who would continue to engage in smuggling.
Years pass, and the villagers adopt fishing as their livelihood. Vara grows up, and Devara remains invisible to the villagers. Bhaira, still seeking revenge, offers an opportunity to Tulasi and Muruga to smuggle goods and kill Devara, but Vara remains quiet and stays away from violence.
